Mansfield, OH (June 6, 2024) – The Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center Vision Team proudly hosted its first Vision Student Networking Day on May 3, 2024. The event brought together students with visual impairments from Bucyrus, Plymouth, Cardington, Highland and Ashland schools to foster connections and enhance their educational experiences.

The Vision Team, comprising Lindsay Wollet, Teacher of the Visually Impaired; Heather Geiser, Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist; and Tyler Albright, Teacher of the Visually Impaired, designed the day to engage students in the Expanded Core Curriculum and address specific Individualized Education Program (IEP) expectations. The event provided a platform for students to network with their peers, participate in self-determination activities and enjoy leisure activities that nurtured essential socialization skills.

Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center provides specialized academic and support services to 13 school districts and over 20,000 students in Crawford, Morrow and Richland Counties. Client districts receive services from curriculum, gifted and special education consultants, speech pathologists, psychologists, special education teachers, occupational therapists and physical therapists.
